Junior Software Developer Intern Jobs Vacancy in Katmai Orlando Jobs Details:
Part-time, up to 29 hours per week. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
The Junior Software Developer is responsible for contributing to development of an enterprise portal serving 1M users. Developers will work closely with Information Architects, Senior Developers and Product Owners to address user needs, and with Creative Technologists to produce effective and functional solutions while maintaining design integrity across all project phases.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsibilities will include maintaining the existing system by updating and fixing reported issues.
- Perform unit and integration testing of software, troubleshooting and debugging of the system.
- Responsible for development of software design documentation and test scenarios.
- Participate in software peer reviews.
Enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Technical Science (e.g. Engineering) desirable
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Strong background developing/debugging and testing of web applications and web services
Experience with collaborative projects and software teams
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in the following tech: Version Control (Git), Java 8, SQL or MySQL
User interface development experience (React, jQuery, CSS 4, HTML 5)
Web Service Knowledge
Self-starter who is comfortable working with various skill sets including other developers and system engineers
Upbeat and passionate about computer programming
Organized and efficient with ability to document all stages of the design solutions
Experience in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.)
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 40 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for handling and working with small objects. Seeing up close, must not be color blind and must be able to wear protective eye wear.
