Junior Conference Event Meeting Planner Jobs Vacancy in Btl Technologies Inc Arlington Jobs Details:
The duties/responsibilities of the Junior Conference/Event Meeting Planner Manager will include but are not limited to:
Under direction of the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) plans and manages the ONR/ONRG conference and events program.
Assist the COR and ONR/ONRG meeting host in developing and managing conference/events budgets.
Develop and maintain database of facilities and resources available.
Populate database with ongoing conference and events pertinent to the ONR mission.
Conduct site and market surveys for potential events that deliver best value to the government.
Maintains the corporate calendar for all ONR/ONRG scheduled conferences and events.
Assist CSC deputy director for business operations providing event guidance and assistance to ONR/ONRG codes and directorates.
Research information to assist ONR/ONRG in the evaluation and selection of hotel facilities.
Maintains web presence to facilitate meeting and conference registration
Assist in the design and production of conference materials to include but not limited to handouts, evaluation forms, nametags, speaker bios.
Assist in the management of vendors and rooming lists.
Obtain pricing quotes for event space and audio visual equipment, etc.
In conjunction with ONR/ONRG sponsors, assist in creating and compiling information for conference notebooks, conference summary reports, proceedings and CDs.
Assist with agenda structure, room sets and A/V set-up.
Update and maintain conference archives.
Provide on-site support as needed for ONR conference and events.
Attend planning and support meetings as necessary.
Assist ONR sponsors with invitational travel as needed.
Provide support as needed with ONR’s exhibit program.
Preparation and submittal of conference and event packets to Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research and Development (ASN-RDA) and Department of the Navy for Administration (DoN AA) for approval.
Interact with ONR Contracts & Grant Awards Management (BD25) as needed.
Provide liaison to ONR/ONRG leadership, ASN-RDA and DoN AA regarding conference and attendance submissions, approvals and current guidance.
Prepare recommended draft guidance and draft training materials on determination of conference and attendance requirements for CSC Directorate and ONR Leadership.
Perform general administrative duties in conjunction with conferences, events and exhibits programs
Monitor and report on project activities and resources to mitigate risk throughout the project life cycle
High School School Diploma
Minimum 3 years of experience working as a conference/event meeting planner.
Must be a US Citizen.
Demonstrated competence in all aspects of meeting/event planning to include planning, managing and executing conferences and events.
Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Certified Government Meeting Professional (CGMP) is highly desired.
Must be able to work under supervisor and in a proficient and self-directed manner in order to accomplish a wide variety of tasks, to include setting priorities and coordinating work.
Must be dependable and use good judgment and effectively and properly analyze and evaluate all situations.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be proficient with MS Office products.
Must be available to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
