The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for current and future vacancies for an Admissions and Records Assistant 1 for the Enrollment Services department. This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. This position will evaluate domestic applications and academic transcripts for students seeking admission to the university in undergraduate degree programs, enter results from evaluations into the PeopleSoft database to trigger communications to students and to update students’ statuses,. The Admissions and Records Assistant 1 will apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures related to admissions and/or records operations; read and understand manuals and other detailed written instructions; review applications and other documents for completeness and conformance to established procedures and requirements; maintain records including manual and electronic files; enter data in computer equipment and resolve.
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of general clerical experience which included maintaining records and public contact; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
